What WorkFamReC is?

WorkFamRec is an acronym for the Polish-German bilateral project on state and company-level work-family reconciliation policies and maternal employment, embedded in the capability approach perspective. In our project we explore diverse aspects of work-family reconciliation policies and their relation with employment of women.

We study childcare (including parental leave) policies created and implemented at the governmental level, as well as family friendly policies, including flexible working arrangements offered by companies.

We are particularly interested in the role culture – and more precisely – gender attitudes/ideologies play in the relationships between work-family reconciliation policies and employment of women.
